Ever wanted to try the pottery wheel?
This hands-on workshop gives you the chance to sit at the wheel and experience the process potters use to shape clay into bowls and vessels.
With step-by-step guidance from an instructor, you’ll learn the basics of centering clay and forming simple shapes.
Expect a fun, slightly messy, and very satisfying introduction to the wheel.

Selected pieces will be glazed and fired for you, ready to collect from the studio once completed.
A great introduction to pottery for complete beginners.
This workshop gives you the chance to experience both of the core pottery techniques. Spend the first hour learning the basics of wheel throwing, then move to handbuilding where you’ll shape and refine your own piece.
It’s the perfect way to discover how clay behaves and find out which approach you enjoy most.

Selected pieces will be glazed and fired for you and will be ready to collect from the studio once completed.
Working with our hands and clay is the oldest way people have shaped pottery. Handbuilding is a fundamental ceramic practice that allows you to form and shape clay directly, without the use of a wheel.
In this session you’ll learn simple handbuilding techniques in a hands-on process that connects you directly with the material.
Handbuilding is one of the most flexible and creative ways to work with clay, giving you the freedom to explore form, texture and surface.
Perfect for beginners or anyone curious about working with clay.
No experience needed.
